Google Play Store has removed the Paytm along with Paytm first games from the play store over breach of policy, Google play store has removed the Paytm along with Paytm first games from the play store after notifying the developer for violating gambling policies. Regarding the digital wallet and e-commerce app, google was in continuous touch with them. This is not the first time they have been removed. They have also pulled down the app called Mobikwik in may.
“We don’t allow online casinos or support any unregulated gambling apps that facilitate sports betting” said by google in a blog post issued by Suzanne Frey, vice president, Product, Android Security and Privacy.
“This includes if any app leads consumers to an external website that allows them to participate in paid tournaments to win real money or cash prizes, it is a violation of our policies.”
“When an app violates the policies, we notify the developer of the violation and remove the app from google play until the developer brings the app into compliance. And in the case where there is a repeated policy violation, we may take more serious action which may include terminating Google Play Developer accounts.” the tech giant added.

Paytm the other hand tweeted that the app is temporarily unavailable on the google play store and will come back soon. Also ensures that the money is safe and secured of the Paytm users.
The Paytm first games is a platform which allows users to play games such as cricket, football, basketball and kabaddi. Sachin Tendulkar is the brand ambassador of Paytm. The company planned to invest 300 crores in the branding and marketing of the app. The Paytm came to India in 2010 and founded by Vijay Shekhar Sharma with the initial investment of 2 million.
