Which infertility problems are commonly faced by males?
Usually, the males get to face the following infertility problems:
- Sperm issues
For a healthy conception, the sperms should be of good quality and should be produced in significant numbers. Following are the majorly encountered sperm issues:
- Insignificant sperms
In this situation, the sperms are not produced in significant amounts.
- Lazy sperms
The sperms are not reaching the egg within the required time.
- Motility of the sperms
The sperms are not moving in the required direction.
- No sperms at all
When not even a single sperm is getting produced, then this situation is surely not at all good for conception.
How can IVF help in male infertility issues?
The mechanism of IVF makes it conducive for all the infertility issues:
- Stage 1: Ovary stimulation
This stage helps to stimulate the ovaries for the production of healthy and well-matured eggs.
- Stage 2: Egg retrieval
When the eggs are generated, then they are retrieved or extracted from the reproductive system by taking a particular process into account.
- Stage 3: Semen collection
The male is asked to provide the Semen sample. The sperms with the healthy qualities are extracted from the semen.
- Stage 4: Fusion
No sooner than the sperms and the eggs are retrieved, than they are supposed to get fused which is known as fertilisation.
- Stage 5: Observation period
The observation period is usually known as the incubation period. The incubation period is taken into account to make sure whether the resulting embryo is fit to be implanted in the uterus or not.
- Stage 6: Implantation
Once the embryo is deemed fit and fine to survive through the entirety of pregnancy, then it is implanted in the uterus.
- Stage 6: Pregnancy test
Two weeks after the implantation, the pregnancy test is taken into account. If that test is positive then the outcome of IVF is deemed to be successful or it will be unsuccessful if the pregnancy test is negative. Then in that situation, the second cycle of IVF will be considered.
- Stage 8: A visit to a gynaecologist
if the pregnancy test comes out to be positive, then you should be taking care of the pregnancy by regularly visiting the gynaecologist.
