Surrogacy in India
Many couples who do not have children of their own revert to many other forms of having children. Some like to go for adoption from an orphanage or sometimes someone in their family only volunteers to help, some like to take the help of surrogate mothers. Many people do not know much about surrogacy. This post is all about clearing your doubts regarding the same.
Surrogates are of two kinds :
The first kind of surrogacy is termed as traditional. in this type of surrogacy, a woman is given artificial insemination from the sperm of father or donor sperm. She bears the child and gives it to the intended parents. But, she is considered to be the biological mother of the child, because her egg was used for fertilization.
After which comes gestational surrogacy. The mother’s eggs are collected and put to fertilization using sperms of the father. The embryo which has been fertilized is then kept in the gestational surrogate mother’s womb, who gives birth to the child.
The surrogate is not the biological mother as it was not her egg which was used. This is the more commonly used method as this method lets both parents genetic ties with the baby
This is done because a couple cannot bear a child, not for fame:
Surrogacy in India is done when a couple is unable to bear a child on their own. The medical reasons for a couple whoa re unable to bear a child range from absence of menses in women, low sperm count in men, absence of a uterus, or other unidentified reasons.
Surrogacy in India is getting very famous. many people are it common man or celebrities have resorted to surrogacy and have healthy babies.
