Can you travel after hair transplant treatment or not?
A person who has undergone hair restoration surgery can go on holiday. But make sure you are going on a trip after a week i.e. seven days post-surgery. After seven days of the surgery, your swelling will also be decreased as well as the risk to your hair grafts. There are many things you need to consider when you are planning to go on a trip. But make sure you are keeping some points in your mind that are mentioned below:
- Take care while flying
The patient should take care of themselves while flying. The patient should fly after seven days of the surgery. If you will neglect it then there are chances that you might end up affecting your eyes and forehead. So make sure you are going after consulting with your hair specialist.
- Sun exposure
After undergoing the hair transplantation treatment, the surgeon advised the patient not to go in the sunlight. If you will come in direct contact with sunlight, then you will end up damaging your scalp. After two weeks you can wear caps but make sure you are not rubbing your scalp.
- Going to a swimming pool
After undergoing the hair transplant surgery, you are not allowed to wash your hair for a week and after a week there is a proper procedure of washing your hair. So you are not allowed to go in the sea or swimming pool because there is a risk of you getting infected from the water. Water can be dirty and you need to keep your scalp clean. You need to wait for at least 4 weeks post-surgery to go to the sea or swimming pool.
